Living in Morocco

What do you need to know before buying a house in Morocco?

The culture

The beautiful culture of Morocco is more than a warm welcome. Living outdoors and being friendly to your neighbours are one of their basics. Morocco is an Islamic culture and you will experience this by finding mosques everywhere and seeing people doing ramadan one month of the year. The local souks (markets) offer you the most delicous foods and collorful handmade products. People are very open minded and especially in the big cities locals are used of tourists

Climate & nature

The Moroccan climate is hot, sunny and no rain. Because Morocco is a big country it is depending where you are located. In the North the winter is like a Portugueese winter but in the South there is no winter at all!

This offers great possibilities to hibernate in Morocco

The food

The kitchen in Morocco can be described as fresh, a lot of fish and vegetables. There is a lot of streetfoods and every friday it’s couscous day.

“Find your house that you can name home.”

Thank you for the help with finding the right location for our holiday home in Morocco. We really liked the communication and extra help that "Second house Morocco" is offering! They have a lot of experience and knowledge about the local laws. Without them I would never be able to buy this beautiful house!
